Woman tells cops ‘I have to poop so bad’ before leading them on high-speed chase
A driver was arrested after claiming she had to "poop so bad" and leading the police on a high-speed pursuit.
Emily Sindt Owings, 28, was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt when she was driving around the city of Enid, Oklahoma, US on Tuesday.
Bodycam footage taken by the officer shows the confrontation when Owings refuses to step out of her car.
The officer checks her driving licence and confirms it's been suspended.
He says: "Now I am waiting to see if you have warrants through Woods County and…"
The woman interrupts and says: "But I have to poop so bad. It's my birthday, man."
The officer calls for backup after finding a warrant out for her arrest for allegedly fighting an officer.
Owings starts crying and asks: "Why don't you just let me go? I'm sorry I didn't know [the licence is suspended], otherwise I won't drive no more but can I please go home and go poop?"
The police then tells her to step out of the car while other officers are on the way to arrest her.
She becomes agitated and shouts: "No they are not! F*** you guys!"
Owings then revvs the engine of her pick-up truck and drives off, leading the force on a pursuit for several blocks with speeds topping 70 mph, according to KFOR.
She allegedly blew through several stop signs before surrendered to cops with their guns drawn, police said.
When she is handcuffed and taken to the police car, Owings is heard asking the policemen: "Can I poop in your car man?"
"You could've already been on your way to jail! Get in the car!" an officer replies.
She shouts: "Yeah, but not pooping!"
Police said they discovered a glass meth pipe with burnt residue when they searched her vehicle.
Owings was booked into the Garfield County Detention Center on charges that include reckless driving, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
