Former advisors to the Trump couple have claimed that Mrs Trump is “counting the minutes” until she can spilt from the President. The rumours have spread rapidly after Mr Trump lost the 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden. Now friends and Stephanie Grisham, Mrs Trump’s official spokeswoman, have claimed the First Lady will stick with her husband despite his loss.

Metro claimed friends of Mrs Trump hold the First Lady has no immediate plans to divorce the President.

They claim that she has shown no signs of wanting to ditch her husbands, and two close friends convinced she will stay with his for the immediate future.

Ms Grisham has also poured cold water on the reports, and said when asked by the Washington Post: “This question is pathetic and exactly why people no longer trust the mainstream media.

“No legitimate journalist would ask this.”

Friends of the couple then added Mrs Trump is the President’s “closest confidante”, and they enjoy the limited time they have together.

Micheal Cohen, Mr Trump’s disgraced former attorney, has also said the couple won’t split over the result of the election.

He suggested the couple are more similar than most people assume, and added: “I don’t think Melania leaves Donald.

“She’s very willingly complicit in his schemes and holds his beliefs as her own. Those two deserve each other.”

Mary Jordan, author of a biography on Mrs Trump, also spoke out about how the couple will not split and added: “Love is complicated, and Trump love is ultra-complicated.”

She claimed they spend much of their time apart “and yet, she’s the first call he makes after a speech or a rally, because he trusts her – he doesn’t trust many people – and she watches on TV.

“So they have a very unusual relationship, but there is a bond there: they have a deal, right from the beginning.

“He loves himself, he loves his job, he’s got his own life and he spends a lot of time apart from her. And she’s absolutely fine with that.”

It comes after Mr Trump lost the US election to Mr Biden by 232 electoral college votes to the former Vice President’s 290.

The President has refused to accept the results of the contest, claiming the contest was “rigged” without evidence due to mail-in ballots.

His most recent argument was to claim Dominion Voting Systems “deleted 2.7 million Trump votes nationwide”, citing a One American News Network report.

OANN provided no evidence to back up its claims, after it suggested it had “unaudited analysis of data” from Edison Research, who had no published “any such report”.

After the election defeat, former advisors to the Trumps have claimed the First Lady is expected to divorce the President by January. Claims which have been disputed by Melania’s team.

Omarosa Manigault Newman, former political aide to Mr Trump, said in her book ‘Unhinged’: “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.

“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.

“He is a vindictive man, and I would not put anything past him.”
